UpTown Realty at the Willo Historic Home Tour and Street Fair
The 2016 Willo Home Tour and Street Fair is officially in the books. The warm Valentine ’s Day Sunday proved to be the prefect recipe to come out and enjoy the sights and sounds of one of Phoenix’s best home tours.
If you didn’t know, every year in February the Willo Historic District puts on an annual home tour. This year, 12 historic properties were on the tour and available for viewings. In addition, two streets of the district are blocked off for foot traffic only, showcasing local vendors in a traditional street fair format. Several food trucks and my personal favorite fair attraction, the kettle corn booth, filled the streets with fabulous aromas.
Willo is one of my personal favorite places in the central corridor. As the biggest historic district in Phoenix, there are a variety of homes built from around 1910’s through the 1950’s. The neighborhood offers a true time capsule of what life in the Arizona capital was like in the early 1900’s. See here for more info and Willo homes for sale.
This year, the Uptown booth was quite unique. We had fun with showcasing the wide portfolio of home services that Uptown offers. With our pop up Living Room display, our chic sofa was a popular spot for fair-goers to take a quick load off. The kids crowded the coffee table to show off their skills in our first coloring contest. The winners will be announced Friday!
I will be back out on Sunday, February 28th for the Coronado Home Tour. Very similar to the Willo tour, the Coronado tour will feature a street fair and home tour. Make sure to come out, enjoy the beautiful weather and stop by the booth! For additional info and tickets, visit the Coronado Neighborhood Association.
